Adam Lambert Making His 'Dream Album'

Ryan Tedder, Nikka Costa and Sia help create 'honest and real' follow-up to For Your Entertainment.

Adam Lambert's debut album, 2009's For Your Entertainment, was very much a product of his time on "American Idol" — written and produced by a hand-picked team of hitmakers, it was the kind of the thing the folks at 19 Entertainment wanted to hear. So it's somewhat understandable that, on his follow-up disc, Lambert is very much determined to make the kind of album he wants to hear.

"I think I've probably written about 18 to 20 songs. I've been spending the past two and a half months in the studio," Lambert told MTV News on the red carpet of Wednesday's "Idol" finale in Los Angeles. "I'm writing most of the material with people myself this time ... I'm really involved. It's really exciting because I think I'm making my dream album. I know that sounds a bit clichéd, but I'm making exactly what I want to listen to."

That echoes the sentiments Lambert shared with us earlier this year, when he said he was taking his time to work on his new album, and that the goal was to "write the most personal songs, the most powerful songs. I really want it to be something that's really honest and real."

Helping him achieve that goal are a variety of seasoned pros — Ryan Tedder, Nikka Costa and Sia, to name just a few — and while there's still no release date for the album, Lambert said he's in no rush. He's enjoying the writing process, and getting an education in songwriting in the process.

"I'm learning so much from everybody, so that's probably the best part," he said.

Hot Trailer: 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy'

There's a new trailer up for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, the Tomas Alfredson-directed adaptation of the John Le Carre espionage novel.� The film stars Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Ciaran Hinds. Oldman unbelievably has managed to exist as one of the most consistently great actors, without being nominated for an Oscar. From what I've heard, his performance in this movie provides Oldman with his strongest chance to be a serious contender to put a trophy on his mantel. Focus Features releases the film in the US November 18.

Did you see Matthew McConaughey play the bongos when he was a guest of Piers Morgan on CNN recently? The actor is now auctioning the drums for charity.

Jewel Donates Nursing Bras To Charity For New Moms

Singer, actress and expectant mother Jewel partnered with Bravado! Designs today to donate 2,600 nursing bras and tank tops to their long time charity partner Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization that provides families in need across the country with essential equipment, products, clothing, and educational services for their infants and children up to age 12.

The bras and tops will be distributed to new moms served by Baby Buggy’s partner program, Nurse-Family Partnership, in both Dallas and New York City.

Even though she is busy planning for the new addition to her family, Jewel wanted to make a difference in the lives of at-risk mothers in her home state of Texas. By donating these Bravado! bras and tank tops, Jewel will help keep new moms and babies in the Dallas area healthy by providing the tools to make breastfeeding a possibility.

Designs for partnering with me to donate over 2,600 nursing bras to mothers in need through the extraordinary work of Baby Buggy,” said Jewel. “This is an un-paralleled opportunity and honor to play such a meaningful role in the lives of other new mothers, and help to assure that all women get the products and care they need for themselves and the next generation. Nurse-Family Partnership is a community health organization dedicated to providing low-income first-time moms with the products and education they need through ongoing home visits with registered nurses. Glee Star Supports Homeless Young People In London

Glee star and Virgin Unite ambassador Cory Monteith, has visited Foyer Centre in London to meet with young people being supported by the charity, which provides affordable and safe accommodation linked to employment, training opportunities and a range of other services.

Cory Monteith spent time touring the centre, which provides safe accommodation for young people, to see the facilities that range from a training room with computers to allow for job searches to literacy and numeracy lessons to a canteen that offers meals and cooking lessons. Joined by a small group of residents who shared their stories and hopes for the future, Cory said, “It was great to meet such an inspiring group of young people. I’m impressed at how positive the group is despite facing so many challenges. They’re keen to move forward and gain the necessary skills needed to get their lives back on track.”

Kereice, who has been living at the Foyer centre for 18 months, said “I knew I wanted to get involved with event management and volunteered to get the skills needed and now feel more confident and now have a part time post with the Haze Young people’s centre. Cory’s words of encouragement have given us all a massive boost. It’s been a dream come true.”

Cory then headed over to The Roof Gardens’ Babylon Restaurant in Kensington, to join the six winning ‘special youth ambassadors’ chosen from the UK search launched by Virgin Unite and Cory at the beginning of June. Chosen for their inspirational essays about the importance of volunteering, they shared ideas of how they intend to raise awareness of youth homelessness, over three months for three fantastic charities – Albert Kennedy Trust, Depaul UK and the Foyer Federation. Cory also spent time with key workers from the three charities to discover what their needs and wants are from the winning ambassadors who as members of the public will raise awareness of what they learn from visiting the charities and spending time with the young people they support.

Special youth ambassador Zoe Chanas said, “Today has been amazing! Meeting Cory was beyond cool and I’m excited about using social media to let people know about the issues and how they can get involved.”

Jean Oelwang, CEO, Virgin Unite, said, “We’re extremely lucky to have such a dedicated ambassador in Cory. He is inspiring his thousands of fans to volunteer, whilst raising awareness of at-risk and homeless young people here in the UK. We are so grateful that Cory took the time to listen and learn from some wonderful young people in the UK and look forward to having him work with these six Youth Ambassadors to ensure that we never accept young people having to live on the streets.”

But the former WWE star denied all charges yesterday that he acted in any kind of similar manner at home, following Linda Hogan's shocking allegations on The Today Show.

Speaking to Matt Lauer (and promoting her autobiography), Linda said she feared for her life any time Hulk flew into one of his rages, which included tearing shirts and throwing lamps.

Comedy Central OKs Two New Sketch Series

EXCLUSIVE: Comedy Central has ordered a pair of new sketch-based series for its 2012 lineup: The Nick Show Kroll, featuring the stand-up comic, and an untitled series starring MadTV alum Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. "I haven't seen either pilot yet, but I think so highly of the talent involved, I can't imagine the shows won't be great," said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central's head of original programming and production. Kroll, whose one-hour stand-up special aired on the network in January, is executive producing and writing his series with John Levenstein and Jonathan Krisel, who is also directing. Based on the pilot presentation ordered back in May 2010, the premiere episode features "The PubLIZity Girls," with�Kroll and Jenny Slate as publicists on the verge of a nervous breakdown while arranging a swanky event for a client; "The Ed Hardy Boyz," featuring Kroll as Bobby Bottleservice, who, along with Peter Paparazzo (Jon Daly), solve mysteries for Christian Audigier, King of the Ed Hardy fashion empire; Kroll as an inappropriate basketball ref who tries to hang out with the players after the game; and "Rich Dicks," which sees Kroll as Aspen Bruckheimer, son of Jerry, who, along with his old-moneyed friend Wendy (Daly) are rich, on the prowl and ready to party at a moment's notice.
